Tottenham and England sweating over Harry Kane’s injury blow

Tottenham and England are sweating over the fitness of Harry Kane after the striker limped off injured in Bayern's 5-2 win over Darmstadt.

The 30-year-old has returned early from international duty with England as he continues his recovery from what has been diagnosed as a left ankle injury.

Kane broke the Bundesliga record for most goals scored in a calendar year on Saturday, netting his 36th of 2023 in Bayern's victory.

However, he was forced off in the second half after appearing to twist his ankle.

Kane will now have a scan on his ankle ahead of England's next World Cup game against the US.

The injury is a blow to both Tottenham and England, with Kane a key player for both club and country.

Tottenham are back in action on Boxing Day when they host Brentford, while England face the US in a World Cup friendly on November 29.
