Brooke Van Sickle Shines as Premier Volleyball League MVP

Newcomer Earns Top Honor in Inaugural Season

Petro Gazz's Brooke Van Sickle has made an immediate impact in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), earning the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in her first season.

Van Sickle, a 24-year-old Fil-American, joined Petro Gazz this season after a stellar college career at the University of Hawai'i. She quickly established herself as a dominant force at the outside hitter position, leading her team to a top-four finish.

In 16 games, Van Sickle averaged 23.5 points per set, the highest in the league. She also contributed in other areas, averaging 4.2 digs and 1.8 blocks per set.

Van Sickle's performance was instrumental in Petro Gazz's success. The team reached the semifinals, where they lost to eventual champions F2 Logistics.

Despite the team's playoff exit, Van Sickle's individual brilliance earned her the league's highest individual honor. She is the first newcomer to win the MVP award since the PVL was founded in 2019.
